PACKING!!!

Before even thinking about the college, we need to start thinking about packing. How does one pack for 3 weeks in Europe with a 35 pound weight limit? Very carefully! Despite what you think, it can be done. You may say, "don’t most airlines allow 50 pounds? Yes, but here’s why we can’t all bring 50 pound suitcases........
First of all, we will be bringing hundreds of pounds of instruments with us on the plane. We need to bring less weight with us to balance out all the extra weight we carry with our group.
Secondly, you probably plan on buying a few things while we are over there. You are going to have to bring those things home with you and will need some place to pack them. You don’t want to have too much weight coming home and have to pay an additional charge just to get your luggage home. This will also hold up the tour at the airport.
Lastly, most hotels in Europe are several hundred years old so you can imagine that elevators are far and few between. You will thank us when you are climbing that 500 year old spiral staircase!

Here are some guidelines for what you should pack for your tour:

2-3 pairs of shoes (concert shoes, sneakers, sandals/berkenstocks)
2-3 pair of sclacks/skirts
3-4 pair of shorts
7-sets of underwear
concert uniform (2 white shirts)
Girls: dress or dressy skirt and shirt
Socks
2 pajamas
Bathing suit
Sweatshirt
Personal and toiletry articles
Laundry soap/2 plastic hangers
Bag for dirty clothing
Convertor
Small Umbrella/poncho
